A Family Shoot at Home in Warwickshire - Baby Jude

I’ve been so looking forward to sharing this gorgeous at home newborn photoshoot from a few months ago. A morning in Rugby spent capturing family life with two little ones. Between the squishy newborn cuddles and the squeals of joy whizzing down bike ramps in the garden, there were so many beautiful family moments to photograph.

The flow of an at home newborn session

As I always mention, when clients book a newborn session with myself, we follow the children’s lead. Of course, I’ll use lots of fun and engaging games and prompts with toddlers and older siblings to create photographs rooted in connection but I also make time for down time and let the moments unfold organically. This at home family session demonstrates this perfectly! At most sessions involving toddlers we start the photoshoot off with family photos all together whilst the novelty of having a new person in the house allows for this. After ten minutes or so, I usually sneak off with mum or dad upstairs for some quiet time to create those intimate newborn moments full of cuddles. However, just like in this session, it doesn’t take long for the patter of feet from inquisitive siblings to be heard making their way up the stairs. Usually this is when energy levels get ramped up and some bed jumping is involved!

People often say, that it is during these moments when everyone is feeling completely relaxed and the focus is on FUN where families’ favourite photos are captured. The ones that make their way into frames to be walked passed multiple times a day everyday over years to come.

As a newborn photographer in Rugby, I photograph families across Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and the Midlands
