Blackwell Grange Wedding Venue, is one of those iconic wedding venues that all Warwickshire wedding photographers want to photograph. Every corner you turn is a photographers dream with the perfect combination of old and new. From the stone walls of the Old Thatched Barn to the modern glass of the Orchard Barn, rustic and contemporary in equal measure. Blackwell Grange was the perfect setting for Laura and Simon’s autumn wedding.

Warm-toned Autumn Wedding

When I first met Laura and Simon in Leamington Spa for their engagement shoot, we chatted over a coffee and they told me all about their plans for an autumn inspired wedding with pumpkins and warm seasonal colours. With many family and friends travelling from further afield for the wedding, they wanted to incorporate lots of personal touches which boy did they achieve! With a nod to Laura’s Scottish family a bagpiper guided her to the ceremony which was led by celebrant Julia Hawkes. Julia had crafted an emotional ceremony full of laughter and poignant moments whilst a live illustrator worked away at the back to create a drawing of this special part of the day.

Sandwiched between two torrential rainy days, Simon and Laura had lucked out with the weather with beautiful autumn sunshine so after the ceremony we made the most of the daylight we had left with group photos before exploring the grounds of Blackwell Grange for some couple shots. With the shorter autumn days, by the time the speeches and wedding breakfast were underway candles were lit on the tables which were dressed with incredible seasonal flowers and there was a real cosy atmosphere.
